Yesterday Sam and I salvaged some lovely 50s style wooden chairs from being dumped in the tip. The woodwork is great, but the cushions and material covering the back and seat are quite natty and worn. I want to get them recovered – does anyone know of a good place where you can get this done?
On the subject of interiors, I took a fun quiz today over on Bonnie’s blog. According to my results, I have a taste for the rustic and vintage, so our new (yet old) chairs will feel right at home…
Cool!
If you are feeling crafty you can do this yourself…
you get the foam from places like clark’s rubber. Buy whatever material suits your tastes then it just a matter of glue and some staple gun action.
youtube has a video demo
We’ve got a staple gun if you decide to do it and want to borrow…
I thought about that – I’m scared I’ll botch it though!
Morning, I’m writing a post next week on Bible college students who blog. I’ve discovered your blog, and out of courtesy wanted to check if you would prefer I didn’t publish a link to your blog.
Thanks,
Steve
