Today I’m heading to St Stephens Newtown to help out with an event they’re running in their community garden. I reckon a church like this running a community garden where people can come and grow veges together is really a good idea, because Jesus loves these people. So I’m glad to be part of something that aims to share life and proclaim Jesus among these people.
It wouldn’t work everywhere, but it’s perfect for connecting with Newtown. And since the church has lots of land, and everyone else lives in a shoebox, it’s a good way for the church to serve the community with what they have.
Anyway, I’m providing a couple of kilo’s of beans, and giving their coffee team a bit of help by teaching them how to use their newly acquired Rancilio 2 group. Should be a bit of fun. If you’re in the area, drop in and grab a coffee!
