A couple of times each year, our family spend a week at a family beach house on the central coast. This summer, we’re here for five weeks. The place is starting to feel like a home away from home.
I admit, I’m terribly unadventurous when it comes to holidays. Although I enjoy exploring new places now and then, I absolutely love going to the same place year after year, revisiting old haunts and creating memories for our family in years to come.
How do you like to holiday? Some place familiar or new?

Five weeks! What a treat, Soph! I’m the same as you – unadventurous and happy /contentwith the familiar. I love these shots that you took, convey such a sense of calm and rest. Hope you’re having a lovely time with S and N.

I alternate between the two. I love going back to Singapore every year where everything’s familiar. Each time I return, it seems like I really left. Then again, I dream of exploring new places in Europe, but I’m too afraid to travel alone so it’s held me back from going. Memories are better when shared with others.
Sounds like a perfect way to unwind and relax. I like exploring new places but with a little one I think familiar places will be more tempting – at least knowing that everyone will enjoy themselves without the anxiety of something new.
